Denied access to KB page

When trying to get here:

http://tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/WorldBuilding/Visual_Style/Cel_Shading/Code&needLogin=1

I am denied. I get the
"Only Torque Game Engine owners can access this content."
message.

I suspect it has something to do with my license, since I am an EA: Torque 2D EA - INDIE License

thanks,

--Mark

It's annoying but TGB users can't access TGE documentation. Annoying because sometimes it would really help to access certain documents that apply to both TGE and TGB, but are locked to all but TGE licence holders. Especially when it comes to code resources... It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does it makes you wonder.. what would be the harm? TGB users don't have the 3D engine, and maybe reading more about what it can do would even entice some of us to buy it.

Sometimes there is definitely some good information that is license-locked by engine. There's not much need for TGE engine changes to work with cel-shading in TGB, however.

Not much work for cell shading perhaps, but a google on that article had a discussion of what the differences between the DX driver and the open gl driver were, that was my interest.

The problem I see with these license lockouts to parts of the KB is that GG has used common components in the products (which is a good thing), but there is a lo of issues/solutions discussed in one forum that is related, but not avaiable to others.

I agree. The Documentation should be available to any licensed Torque user.

Though I understand the frustration, may articles (like the one linked) are specific to TGE. Not only do they often include source code from TGE (a product you may not own) but the usefulness will be limited.

In certain cases I completely agree that specific docs should be accessible by both, this is definitely not one of them.
