TGE 1.4 Trial & issues with Vista?

Hello,
I am writing this out of sheer desperation. I am running a Dell Dimension 9200 that has been got all the latest video drivers installed but I can only get the TGE 1.5.2 Demo to work. Warzone is a no go. That just shows a dos box and then hangs for about 30 seconds. TGE 1.4.2 throws out a Torque Virtual Memory warning.
I am not exactly sure that this is a Vista conflict as I am sure that their is a Vista machine at College running some version of TGE so I would appreciate any help offered as I am pretty well floored by this tonite.
Thanx a lot

Guess what? It worked. I really can't understand how I missed that.
Thankyou again

Dell Dimension 9200 is with the Radeon X1300 card, right?
I think u r working with M/$oft WDDM driver, in which case it is not the latest driver for your card. Check it by going system ->device manager. If it is Microsoft's generic piece of crap go here;
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32/common-vista32.html
download & install. It's a nice, neat piece of kit.
Good luck.
