Artist Sought For Partnership

We are a penniless, start-up studio, currently consisting of writer, programmer, and composer, and we need an artist for our interactive graphic novel/game project. This is a four-way creative partnership. The right person will be proactive, able to set and meet realistic deadlines, creative, and understand the purpose and tone of the project.
The project itself is a cross between an adventure game and a graphic novel. The interactivity is acheived through dialog options, some inventory puzzles, and perhaps some "Myst" type puzzles...but the art, writing and music- that is, the storytelling- is far more important than "game play."
There is very little animation; the artist will need to represent the story and action in a comic book style, with static panels, bubbles, creative angles... etc... Our programmer is creating the game engine.
As for style, we're open to anything. Some concept art exists already, however our artist has had to abandon the project due to unforeseen circumstances. We can start over with fresh concepts if necessary. The important thing is that the artist take an active interest in constructing the world and making the story come alive through powerful visuals. We don't want an employee; we want a creative partner.
