Hey all,
This is my first post. I just wanted to introduce myself to you people.
I'm an animation student with 4 months left until I enter the workplace once again. I'm specializing in texturing and lighting.
Check out my website for some examples:

I was wondering if anyone uses Maya for games or do I need to learn 3dMax?
Also, I'm looking for a video game type model to texture for my demo reel. Could anyone use my help on a project? This could be a win win situation.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to get familiar with the 3DS interface soon enough - I can't imagine it being that much different, especially now that iit's owned by the same company.
Here's the first texturing assignment I did:

It's from a texturing challenge found on a website. I have a few more examples in the works now that I have time to focus on what I want to specialize in.
I can handle UV-unwrapping, but if you have them allready unwrapped, that's easier I guess.
Your game company looks cool. I used to play WOW, so I know a bit about MMORPGs.
Well, I guess I'll shoot ya an e-mail.

Cool stuff ye did there. ;) Maya is used a lot I would say second only to 3ds Max so that works fine, tho if you plan on getting into Game Studios, knowing 3ds Max will greatly improve your chances.
I do have a few models that could use some texturing. In fact I could use an animator, but then again the animations would need to be done in 3ds Max.
So for texturing would you do the UV-unwrapping or rather have the models already unwrapped?
Shoot me an email (mark at spellcraft dot biz) if ya have any textured screenies would be cool, couldnt find any on that site there.
Cheers
