Hello
Four months ago, I have bought an INDIE licence of TGE. Now an enterprise ask me if I can make a 2D-3D game with Torque. Of course, I will buy a commercial licence.
2D are minigames and 3D point&click. The point & click is done and it works like a charm.
But I don't how to implement the 2D minigames. My first idea is to use gui elements but are gui made for 2D games (sprite intersection, succession of images in one gui , good framerate ...) ? I don't think , maybe I'm wrong.
A second idea is to marry TGE and TBE. But I have no knowledge about TBE and I don't know if this wedding is possible.
Can you give me a solution to build this type of game with GG product ?

Not sure how much of your game needs to be 2D and how much needs to be 3D, but TGB supports some 3D stuff as well. The original Torque 2D had a great tutorial (or at least some hints) for putting a 3D character into T2D. It worked great. Reminded me of MST3K, or of that M*A*S*H episode where they're showing a movie in the mess tent and Hawkeye and BJ stand in front of the screen and start acting out the movie.(sorry for the USA-centric references)
