Which graphic card is required to run TGEA

Hi,
I have a vaio with an intel GPU card. I installed on my laptop TorqueX and it works well but when I tried to run TGEA demo, it stops and gives me the message : "D3D is required. Make sure you've got the latest version of DIRECTX and your graphic card support shaders 1.0"
I know my graphic card supports Shader 2.0 and I have Installed DirectX 9.0c sdk and runtime.
Can anyone help me
Thank you in advance

To answer the question you posed in the title of your post; I would recommend an NVIDIA GeForce 6 or greater or an ATI equivalent. The engine will run on lower end video cards but not well enough for productive development. A decent CPU and a healthy dose of RAM wouldn't go astray either.

Before upgrading to a 8800, I used a 6800 Ultra and it was just fine in TGEA.

I have an old ATI Radeon 8500 which only supports up to 1.4.

Also Make sure that the card you get has AT LEAST pixel shader 2.0 support.I have an old ATI Radeon 8500 which only supports up to 1.4.

I've checked my graphic card and it can support as you said only shader model 1.X. That's too shame but it is life. I will find another way.
Tahnk you for your qucik answers

Your computer is like a Jedi's lightsaber. The more power it has the more power you have (looks over at the warm glow)...

i put out the office models as those always has partial support of the features of the bigger models ...
also you need the direct x 9.0 c runtime version equal or newer to the version of the dx sdk used to build TGEA ...and probably recent video drivers for your card
Cheers

Even in my desktop, I don't have one of those cards. I will buy another computer next year.

EDIT: I noticed you have already done this, so I am not sure.

Funny this is twice now I have seen people get this problem, I fixed it by updating DirectX (even though I had DirectX 9.0c)EDIT: I noticed you have already done this, so I am not sure.

Try updating the drivers for your graphics card if you can.
