Motion capture anim move through a path or stand still. how?

I have a 50 frames motion capture animation in which my character runs straight.
how to make the biped i put this motion capture animation on:
- run in one place, not across the screen.
- loop this 50 frames animation and make him run on a path(spline) set by me
i tried assigning a controller but i cant assign it when i choose the whole biped. i also searched the curve editor and didnt find anything that would be of any help. if you know how to do it, please post the answer to my 2 questions.

this question reffers to the 3dmax viewport, before even saving or rendering the animation

reffering to your previous post, i cant save the animation to DSQ file, i tried "save animation" and "export" and none of them had this option.

i installed torgue and exported the DSQ file

Torque Owner Surge
MDNAMEDIA
An AI Player can follow a Path. The AI Player would automatically use the Run Animation from your DSQ.
Likewise your Own Player could use it. Look into Player.cs in the PLAYER folder and you will see the
animation setup.
