About the author
Torque Owner Richard Wermske
Your enthusiam is laudable and perhaps mildly entertaining. However, I believe you will find more potential in offshore outsourcing than you will in herding post-graduate cats that lack experience and appropriate motivation while facing off student loans.
"Currently hiring" and "willing to work for free" -- forms the basis of a grand oxymoron. Entry level folks can get their feet wet and have fun being broke anywhere... What makes your project unique? Does your pitch have any substance? Beyond the hype, what do you have/offer that distinguishes your project from the dozens of other opportunities?
I don't see any website or published documents. What resources do you have lined up to host/organize the development?
Do you plan to manage by fiat, as a benevolent dictator...or do you have a programme governance model?
How do you intend to coordinate change? Have you thought about your test plan?
Who is your audience and are you tailoring your design to a specific demographic?
What is the market opportunity and how do you plan to go to market?
What are your anticipate revenue and profit models?
Basic team building doesn't need to necessarily lay out all of these details. BUT, you are asking for a hamburger today for a dollar tomorrow. This is a con so old they don't even make cartoons about it anymore. The simple fact is that moneyless development projects successfully emerge from only two fronts:
1) Stunning Innovation
2) Cult-of-Personality
Both require resources, planning, organization, and hard work. Infomercial hype sells widgets, it doesn't hire mature, capable talent. One wouldn't try such a silly gambit to launch a petrotechnical application or accounting package, why insult your "peers" with such a notion? This "opportunity" reeks of dishonesty...
Cheers,
Rich Wermske
