3DSMax 4 Exporter...

I was wondering if the ver 4 exporter work for 3DSMax 4.2? If so, then why is it creating a 0KB file? It seems to not export correctly. I also get a message that says,"No details to export." But I set the detail number dummy object the same as the model. Please help...thanks.

You're missing a step somewhere. Re-read the docs.

I would have to Anthony here, you should go and re-read the DTS Exporter Documentation and possibly even follow along and do some of the examples that it contains so that you understand what you need to do to export your scene.

It's located in the DTS Exporter Utility roll-out options, it is not a native function of Max.

Sorry Logan, Im new to this. But how do you get the DTS Exporter Utility to work or open to get these options?

If you've actually hit the export: whole shape button then you already have the .dts export utility ready to go. The renumber selection and embed shape are right bellow the whole shape button.

If you haven't gotten that far follow these instructions for installation. Then open up max, click on the tools panel and then click on the more button. One of the options in that list will be 'DTS Exporter Utility'. Click on that and a new set of roll outs will appear. Open the one that says Utility if it is not already open. Voila, there is your menu that you are looking for.

Thanks for help guys but I found out what was the problem of exporting my models in to Torque. I didnt realized that "detail, start, etc." were all dummy objects until I opened up some sample files. Thanks for the help though...=)
