Help with drawing

I was wondering if there was some program, I feel I know there is one, but Im not sure, that you can draw on a pad you buy (like when you sign credit card transactions) and it shows up on the computer. I might be wrong, but I would have thought there was. If anyone knows something similar or is this, please reply. Thanks!

Now, I was looking at those, and one thing comes to mind. It talks about editing photos, but can it allow me to just draw like I would on paper with a pencil? I couldnt find an answer on the site. Thanks!

No you would need an image manipulation program like Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Fireworks, etc. to do that. There are demo or lite versions of these apps that come with the hardware though.

Well, besides a program to actually draw, would i be able to draw out a sketch using the tablet, like, select the pen tool and draw on the pad, drawing the lines, and everything I do draw?

Once you get an Wacom tablet (I recommend the "Intuos" line-it comes with a nib for the pen that feels kind of like a pencil or felt tip pen in addition to the standard hard plastic tip), check out a program called "Art Rage". It does a nice job of replicating the look of pencil/paint/chalk etc. It's inexpensive too. Here is a link:
