Pics to model by?

I have been searching the net for any site that might host pictures for people to make 3d models off of, for example people in a perfect front and then perfect side view. Anyone know of any sites that are free?

It isn't cheap, but it's the best source I've found so far. Some of the developers around here use this site for their people source images. Spencer Boomhower (of Adam and Ava character pack fame) is one of them.
Again, this is an excellent resource for character modelers.

@Aaron I had come across that one I am just not ready to pay 25 a month for it, if I had more money I would.

@Adam ya google doesn't do much but thanks for that reponse. You use google image search or page search to find straight on full body pics of a person (or any other object you want) along with a perfect side view of the same person/object.@Aaron I had come across that one I am just not ready to pay 25 a month for it, if I had more money I would.

Oddly enough, Ebay is a great place for source. For instance, if you need to create a vehicle, many sellers take images of the car from all sorts of angles... Hope this helps.

Go to the library (that dusty ol' building down the street from you ;) ) and get an anatomy book. You'll find what you're looking for there as they usually have front, side and back views of male and female nudes for proportions. It's a starting point. Using a piece of paper (or you could do it digitally if you have the tools), trace your character over the the front and side views and add clothing.Or a cheap bookLike this

I don't even have a library card but I was hoping for something online so I could steal the image to build textures too.

Ebay is an interesting idea and I might try that out for objects, for people I'll still need something else. I don't even have a library card but I was hoping for something online so I could steal the image to build textures too.

If I've misunderstood your post, please excuse my meddling. With that said . . .
The last part about using images found online to build textures sounds a bit scary. From a legal standpoint, you need to make sure you have explicit permission to use the materials you find on the net. Some of those might have specific provisions like free for personal use but not for commercial, or something similar.
It's important to protect yourself, your teammates, and your project from unexpected legal 'adventures'.
Good luck and have fun.

People do jump at legal issues on here a lot. They're not something I'm worried about since I'm not selling a game and doubt Iw ill be anytime soon. But I would also love to see someone prove that you used an image of his chest as your chest texture, faces are the only thing I would make sure to make original.

But that's neither here nor there.
Regardless, Gray's Anatomy is available on Bartleby. You should be able to find some excellent reference drawings there.

Hand models are extremely protective of their niche market. But that's neither here nor there.

The blue print site just rocks -- I'm not an artist, but I know how to use tools like Illustrator, Photoshop and Anime Studio ... and I can rough together some half-decent things ... given something to work from ... and the-blueprints.com has all the stuff I need to create nice 2D vector characters, which I can animate in Anime Studio and export as sprite animations for TGB -- w00t w00t!!! ...
