I must be missing something...

I dled TGE, and umm where do I go to start making a project. All I see are all of these started kits which I don't really want. Or are you supposed to start off of that?

Also why does it say everything is a demo, shouldn't it just be the real program

Take a look at the Getting Started PDF.

Also those starter kits are just that, starter kits. You can use them as starting points if you want or start from the ground up.

If you downloaded it from your "My Account" page, then it should be the full package.

Because you downloaded the Demo, the full version includes the source code, and you have to purchase it for that. You can make script-only games with the demo though, it's got no time limit or restrictions of any kind, you just don't have the source code.

How would I access the source code, because I think that I dled the full version...

Try buying it first.

If you bought a license, then click on the "My Account" link at the top and download it from there.

This is the exe file that I downloaded: TorqueGameEngineSDK-1-5-0.exe

Its 72.4 mb, isn't that the main program?

Where did you download it?

That's it! I've had enough of new Torque users asking the same question - and then finding out it's all about trawling the pages, and trial and error. So mark this day! I will begin the Torque 101 Landing Page. What the doc's don't provide, my landing page will. We'll make Torquer's out of you yet!

So is it a demo version or the full version I'm confused?

We don't know Kyle, since you won't tell us where you downloaded it.

From this site

The demo version has "demo" in the filename, so you must have the full version. You should post any questions about the source, etc, in the private forums where all the other licensed users hang out. You'll get a lot better response there.

Plus - you'll probably want to go to your "My Account" page, and get the latest version.

You couldn't have downloaded that file from this site. You're not listed as a License Holder in your profile.

@Kyle: The reason peolpe are asking where you downloaded it is because your account says that you don't actually own a license. You'll probably want to log in with the account you used to buy the product so you can access the private forums and TDN. Otherwise, don't expect much help. The community in general isn't very hospitable towards people who appear to have stolen the software they paid for, whether that's actually the case or not.

Kyle,

Your account shows no Torque ownership, aside from Constructor. If there is some explanation for why you are using the filename noted above without having purchased the product, I would be happy to help.
