Pink screen with TGEA 1.0

Hi, I've just installed the TGEA 1.0 SDK and run the TGEA Demo. The menu appears fine and in fact all the 2d elements render fine, but the 3d view when you select the Interactive Walkthrough just shows as pink background. I see the occasional black splodge fly past so it seems there is some flypast going on, but everything is either pink or black. Changing the demo display options makes no difference. I'm not sure how you post pictures on this forum since this is my first post.
I'm running XP with all the latest patches. My card is a Radeon X1600 pro and I just updated to the latest Catylist driver package (made no difference). I've also confirmed I have DirectX 9.0c installed. Warcraft and Doom3 run OK, but then they're OpenGL games so I guess that doesn't say much.

Try updating your direct x files. This seems to work most of the time.

Warcraft is DX game but very outdated DX9.0c version (there is one all 2.5 months or the like but all are labled as DX9.0c)

I had the same problem with the default executable supplied with TGEA 1.01. After recompiling it with MSVC++Express and the October 2006 DX SDK, it worked fine.

Same problem for me - all pink. ATI X600 card and latest ATI mobile catalyst drivers.
