Nvidia Go 7800 Issues

In running the TGEA Demo(s), I am encountering some issues:
1. In the interactive walkthrough, the screen fills with purple. The Desciption text and bottom menu are still present.
2. In the terrain / water demo, the sky renders but, the terrain is black and flickers as the camera moves.
I have attempted to download the latest drivers from Nvidia but apparently with Dell laptops, you need to use their drivers. The drivers directly from Nvidia error out during install. The drivers from Dell are rather old so I am assuming this is the issue but, I cannot seem to update the drivers. Is there a way to update the drivers on my system or a way to tweak TGEA to get it to work?
Here are the system specs:
Proc: 1.83 GHz Centrino Duo
Mem: 2 GB
Video: Nvidia Go 7800
Driver Version: 7.8.5.9
Driver Date: Jan 2006
Video Bios: 5.70.02.30.12
Thanks in advance.

Do not assume that it is the video card. Try other games as well because I have heard others who have had the same issues with latest TGEA. Might be something they changed.

@Stefan: I beginning to think it may not be the video card. I have tried other games (non-torque) on the system and they work fine. TGE based games seem to work as well. However, I don't believe their are any publish TGEA games to try.
If it helps, I have no problems running either demo on my desktop which has a ATI Radeon 9800XT Pro.

@Eikon: Thanks for the site but, the latest drivers from them did not resolve the issue. Doh.... I needed to update to the Feb 2007 DirectX Runtime. Works fine after that.

Not sure about the actual issues you're describing but I suggest looking at www.laptopvideo2go.com/ for nvidia drivers.
The problem is nVidia lock out their newer release drivers for certain cards, even though they use a unified driver architecture (or something..!) that means all drivers will work for all their cards. The drivers on the above site are exactly the same as the ones from the nVidia site except they have had their .inf file modified to allow installation on *all* cards. Note that some drivers aren't WHQL certified but I have never had any problems.
I use a dell xps m1710 and downloaded and installed the latest vista drivers from laptopvideo2go today (101.41) and have not had any issues.
Just go to the site, click on the drivers link at the top, select your OS and choose which driver you want to download. I (almost) guarantee it'll work without any problems.
Disclaimer: Eikon games accepts no responsibility for exploding dell laptops on installation of any drivers ;o)
