There is no way I'm paying $59.99 for Warcraft III - Standard

That's just rediculous.
Who does Blizzard think they are? I refuse to give into that ploy. What gives them the right to rip everyone off like this?
I'm boycotting until I can find a cheap copy on eBay. $59.99 is just uncalled for!

Theyve already got around 4.5 million preorders so i dont think money is a problem.

I won't, but that's just because I'm not a big fan of these types of games... But Blizzard has a right to charge what they want. If you don't like the price, don't buy it.

Blizzard will charge whatever it thinks the market will allow it to charge. I'm sure plenty of people will pay this price. A lot of people will even buy the collectors edition for even more.I won't, but that's just because I'm not a big fan of these types of games... But Blizzard has a right to charge what they want. These days, when I buy a new game off the shelf with a month or two of it's release, i expect to pay at least $49 if not $59. That's why I don't buy allot of games.

I have quite a few comments about this but really it comes down to one thing, your getting viciously upset over $10.Alc

Blame Vivendi, their parent company. BTW- they are getting sued for price fixing lol.

Don't blame Blizzard. They don't actually dictate the prices.Blame Vivendi, their parent company. BTW- they are getting sued for price fixing lol.

OK, I'll blame Vivendi. Regardless, it's absurd!

Just remember, Diablo 2 shipped at the same price two years back. Crazy stuff.
Blizzard knows people would buy it's games if they cost $75 and were horrible. In my opinion, Warcraft 3 isn't anywhere near as good as Starcraft or Warcraft II in it's time. It lacks the strategic depth those games had, and fills it with manic leveling of your heroes.
Blizzard knows it can raise prices, and knows people will still pay. Vivendi wasn't the only side asking for more money.

Yeah right. Blizzard has choice over if they charge $10 more than anything else out there.Just remember, Diablo 2 shipped at the same price two years back. Crazy stuff.

If you just wait, the prices will go down. It's not like there startin another Final Fantasy series.

Actually Wendy's cost me $5.77 for each meal. Doesn't equal to 10 bucks. :-). Anyways you have to be an idiot and need some help if you're gonna pay that much for a silly game.

The prices on these games usually drop $10 about 4-6 months following release. At least, that's how it was for Diablo 2. So expect to wait a while before getting it at a "normal" price.
Although, there have been sightings of the game sold for $40-$45 online. Probably sold out by now though.

No I just think those "types" of games are dumb. Look at the Columbine shooting. They are caused by those stupid freaky-gun shooting games. Besides I'm more of a sports fan I like the Madden, NFL Game Day, MLB, etc. ones.

I hope that was just sarcasm...

Oh My God, you did not just say that.Quote:Look at the Columbine shooting. They are caused by those stupid freaky-gun shooting games. You forgot to blame Marylin Manson. Seriously, I don't even know what to say to such crap. The Columbine shooting was not caused by games, it was caused by two messed up teens with guns. It's that simple. It's not the music they listened to, nor the games they played. It's them. You don't need to make dumb comments such as that one.
I hope that was just sarcasm...

You just opened the gates to hell. Especially in a game dev forum.

The game is quite good. I don't regret paying a little extra for some Blizzard goodness.

Yes I was just kidding. If you want to waste $60.00 on a silly game be my guess, but I will just keep my money in my pocket.
