Engine Demo?

Is there any possible way to get a demo of the engine itself? Like something that I can use to see if I like it? I don't want to pay $100 for something that isn't going to work for what I want to do (Top down space shooter, I guess you could say it's like Asteroids in a way but the ship never leaves the center of the screen). Plus I would just like to see what kind of features it has and how easy it is to use and all that. I thought I had seen a demo of it before but now I can't find anything but the Realm Wars demo. Thanks.

I don't mean a game demo, I mean the engine demo and tools demo. I know what games made with it are like I want to see how the tools and al that works.~WarDekar

You can run both the mission and GUI editors in the Realm Wars demo: press F10 for the GUI editor, F11 for the mission editor.

As for doing a space shooter as long as you can code it, this engine will support almost anything!
