Just a suggestions though :)
Maybe have a bit of the wood stick out of the top of the head of the axe, unless it is already, I can't tell from the picture...

Love the model Djagg, it looks very good. Like Tim i would like to know what texture size you used.

@Pascal and Tim: hum, this is hi resolution for the moment: 512*512
Oh and the model itself is less than 500 polys...
@ Robert, no this is iron. Hmm, yeah I'll try with wood, but the model isn't made for that... I'll test anyway.

Looks great Djagg but i would at least concider scaling it down to 256*256 maybe even smaller

Yeah, Pascal, I think so too, this is just for presentation, but 256*256 will be (i hope) good enough.

At some point we really need to get some tech specs going about polygon counts, texture resolutions, etc for the different types of models in the games.But the axe looks really awesome, both the model and the textures.
