City models

Hi,
I'm looking for city models and found one from turbosquid for $450 which I'm considering:
http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/230051/SID/236963/blFP/1

My questions are:
Has anybody tried to use this in torque (or similar cities from turbosquid)?
Are there any other cities that have been used in Torque?
I only found this: http://www.garagegames.com/mg/snapshot/view.php?qid=850

Thanks

That model has a polycount of 116,373. You can forget about exporting that as a whole. You'll have to cut it up into smaller pieces (lots of them).
You can also forget about making a .dif file from this (or at least not without a lot of work). But if you just want .dts models, then you can export those building seperately. I think that model is worth its price, but I'm not sure how usefull it would be for use in Torque. Depends what type of game you are making.

The second link, the snapshot, was made using .dif files by the way.

Hey, check also www.3drt.com. They have nice city sets and currently do also Torque exports (at least in DTS).

@Portalguy, send me an email telling me what you need. I can build some city models for you in .dif. I've been wanting to tackle a city pack anyway. You can see some of my most recent work at the following link:

@Portalguy, I have purchased 2 or 3 building/street packs from http://www.3d-diggers.de/ and it turned out pretty good. Stupid conversion rate hit me in the gut, but it wasn't a bad deal in the end.

@Brian - I would love to see a building content pack from you, that is a very cool looking building, and buildings like that will fit nicely in a future project I have planned. :)

Thanks for the help guys.

@Brian thanks for the offer. The project I'm considering will eventually be about a real location in Dubai which I want to reconstruct. For the moment I'm going to use any ready made city models. I like the one suggested by Martin Schultz.

3DRT stuff is looking good, but beware their buildings are lacking collision boxes for TGE/TGEA...
I know they were only providing them on request and per building.
