TGB Pro 1.11 and Fedora 6

Probably already common knowledge, but TGB Pro 1.11 does not work out of the box with Fedora 6. The supplied executable doesn't run due to a missing lib call. The supplied source code doesn't link because of the SDL version and no libGLU.a. I got it to link by editing a file to not make the offending SDL call, and changing the makefile to specify dynamic linking instead of static linking (both changes are documented in other forum threads, thanks!). Supposedly changing the link type will cause me some crashes down the road.
I know the Linux version is community supported, but does anyone know the time frame for "official" fixes to the issues?

i'm thinking of switching out development off windoze to linux if its worth the effort
tgb runs great on fistah, but there's that awful smell of sulphur and burning flesh coming out of the computer whenever i run windows, and betting development back to linux would help me be more motivated
i use fedora for everything, except tgb
