"I think every console in the world has had a price decrease sometime in the first few years. I don't know whether we'll have a price decrease in the first few years, and I don't want to comment on that, but I will highlight for you that every console has had a price decrease in the first few years."

How is me replying to what someone said not part of the thread? I was replying that the PS2 wasn't out of the running and in fact was the top selling console still.
You can't "spin" facts, you can only state them. If you see an incorrect statement of mine, by all means point it out. If you have facts that make HD-DVD a better option, quick 'threatening' to use them and pull them out as I'm all for reading up on everything. Posting in a thread to call someone a fanboy and basically have no useful content is just ignorant and should be avoided.
I actually don't like Sony as a company nor a game development studio. What I do like is the playstation consoles which I believe are better than the xbox and nintendo counterparts. A fanboy doesn't listen to reason or facts, they like what they like and that's final. I can easily like something else if I have facts pointing that it is a better option.
Ironic statement in that I've yet to insult anyone which seems the aim of this statement put in a way to make yourself not look insulting.

Usefull post as usual Blake.

Sounds like a fanboy to me.
Funny. I can swear that you totally disregarded every fact Blake brought to your attention.
Well, if you read the thread title, it says Xbox 360 Price Drop. Now I 've made several attempts to get the thread back on track, but each time I do, you come back with some "fact" you found on your precious Blu-Ray. One could even go as far as calling you a forum troll.
Some examples:
You know, that's awesome. No really, it is. Now let's remove your PS3 out of the equation because, god forbid, someone might've bought it for something other than Blu-Ray. It sounds fair to leave in the 360 adapter, seeing as everyone who purchased it wanted an HD-DVD player. But I know you'll have a cow if I leave it in, so out goes the adapter. Now we can look at movie formats without those pesky game consoles influencing either. Is Blu-ray *Gasp* really as far ahead in sales as you thought?
Well, there's one of your facts "spun." I could do this all day, but what's the point of trying to persuade a fanboy?
Uh...
Is "put-down" a better word? And yes my late post was supposed to sound insulting. Though, to be honest, it's refreshing to find a Sony fanboy that at least sounds smart.
Jonathon, drop it. You will convert no one to Blu-ray, and you're just making this thread even more of a mess.
I don't feel that needs a comment.
Ryan out.

Some examples:
Quote:Ha.. it's so funny when people try to count the PS3 as "not included." Over 1 million PS3's have been sold. That's 1 million blue-ray players in people's homes NOT including stand-alone players (around the 25k mark a few months back). Now look at HD-DVD players, standalone just over 100k + about 100k add-ons for the 360 and that's a victory?

This thread left the realm of usefullness long ago since anymore Ryan and Blake contribute nothing other than attacks on me. I'm not even going to reply after this unless it actually has to do with the thread topic.

Back to the price drop.
When do you guys think would be the best time for a price drop?

A combo of Halo 3 and price drop this fall could do MASSIVE DAMAGE :P

Halo 3.. yea that should be interesting. I remember Halo 2 launch night was the same as EQ2 launch night. And the lines at EB games where long.

The debate is over, the thread is almost back on track, and you still feel the need to push your pro-Sony agenda for some strange reason. Whether you believe you are or not, you must admit that you sound like a hardcore Sony fanboy. Sure, you can say that you have only stated "facts", but woven into these "facts" are your petty attempts to put Sony in a good light. I could take at least three of your "facts", and spin them to make HD-DVD look good.
I'm predicting that you will respond with some sort of insult, followed by even more facts you found on Wikipedia.
