Little confused about TGE and TGEA

I'm a little confused about what to buy, and the best way to get it.

I've looked at all the packages, and i definitely want to go through to 1.5, and get TGEA. But is TGEA an addon? or can i just buy that alone?

Thanks.

Get TGE if you want a game that can work on pretty much all computers(or most if you use the new dynamic lighting, but the end user can turn that stuff off), and use TGEA if you want to go next-gen with all the shaders and stuff.

And TGEA is out of early adopter so it is no longer an addon - so yes, you can buy it alone. Though be warned - TGEA is for advanced TGE users and doesn't include alot of the getting started documentation, so if you have no experience with TGE/TGEA, I would buy TGE 1.5 and then just upgrade at a later time.

Alright, thanks. Guess my budget is $295.

The project isn't due out for at least a year, so i figure i'm safe getting TGEA, since there will be a lot more DX9 cards around by then. Thanks for the documentation info though!

No problem. Oh, one note - I don't own TGEA(though I own TGE 1.4.2 and 1.5), but on the documents that is what I have read.
