Lego/King Kong - no GG logo...

Just a quick question. I was wondering why some of the games that you can check out that have been created with TGB don't have the Garage Games logo on splash or in the credits when the EULA says you have to.

Depends on which licence the developer has

To clarify that a bit, with a commercial license you don't have to display the logo if you absolutely don't want to.

Thank you. That makes sense.

It's not really a question of not wanting to show a logo, more I wish there were different options to allow you to tag your game with a GG logo. For example, I think the main splash screen looks too hard for a cute, casual game and I personally feel that the player should be exposed to a consitent world from the first image to the last credit.

Are there any other options, like customising the logo to make is fit with the games art style for example?

GG are usually okay with you customizing the splash screen from what I understand. This is on a "case-by-case" basis though so you would have to run your designs by them.

What Magnus said is correct... e-mail Eric Fritz or James Wiley and they could give you more info on that.

Also keep in mind you don't have to put a "GG logo", the EULA says:

[quote]Licensee agrees to display a full screen Torque Game Builder logo in the start up sequence of any game created and released with the Engine.[quote]

You have to display a TGB logo. A lot of people mix the two up but keep in mind the two are very different :)

It's good to know there's some fleibility :) I'll make sure I email my logo once it's ready. It will probably be the last thing I implement!!!
