Sound Quality Settings

I was wondering if anyone had approached this yet. The ability to a player to adjust the quality of sound his game provides. For example, in the Battlefield series they use 11, 22, and 44 kHz sounds to separate the level of quality in the sound files. I hadn't seen any resources adding this to the settings menu so I just wanted to see if it had been done, or if it is even a necessary thing with this engine?

Thanks all.

Being able to force sound quality (sampling) is in most cases not a good thing, since 99% of all sound cards have to emulate anything else than 44 000kHz and thus you get a performance hit by setting it to 22 000kHz or 11 000kHz.

This is not the case with more recent cards (Creative FX, being one) but I would not sweat it. We had this option before we found out ourselves, and it has been removed since.

Thanks Stefan. Very nice explanation and one less thing for me to have to deal with.
