Reflective Surfaces

I was modelling a robot guard, and I wanted to have several textures, one maybe rusted and corroded, but one with a very shiny coat. The problem, I cant figure how to make a texture reflective like a light hits it. Anyone able to help?

I think what you are inquiring about involves adding a specular mask to your texture. I've never done this so I can't give any advice, but do a search for specular or reflective texturing and you might find what your after.
