Hi all, a few questions :)

Hello all, this is my first real foray into the realm wars world. I must say its looking very promising, I'd like to offer my help with some concept art if possible. Here are a few examples of my work:

The first is obviously not in keeping with the fantasy theme but its the last drawing I made so I thought I'd show it :)
A questions about the project ( perhaps they are answered elsewhere so if anybody can direct me, thanks :) )
-Regarding races, weapons etc. Are there strict guidelines regarding these races, ie: must they fall into established fantasy themed races such as orcs or elves, or is anything up for consideration? For example, can I concept soething completely off the top of my head?
Thanks :)

We are going to start off with established fantasy races. There will eventaully be branching. In addition, there will be mods that have different races and even different genres. For instance, Phil Carlisle has a great Steampunk version of RW in development. So, if you don't like fantasy, I'm sure you will be able to find something that you like to work on.Jeff Tunnell GG

We've got quite a lot in development, so if you feel like pitching in, great.
One thing I'm really missing is some nice village buildings. I was/am going to try and tackle some of this myself, but I need to add a lot more to the common codebase (in terms of "effects"), so if anyone wants to pitch in with some buildings, Ive got the need!
Current needs:
Medical house
Village chapel/church
Grain/resource store
Blacksmith or arms store
Think thats the lot. Mediavel/viking settlement style.
Anyone wants to help out just drop me a line and let me know what youve got.
Phil.

Heheh, we've got a pretty mixed up bunch of stuff in RWTA so far. SteamKnight vs Orc hoarde so far. But thats bound to change quite a lot as the artists get inspiration for new models and concepts. We've got quite a lot in development, so if you feel like pitching in, great.

Sorry for the delayed reply. The Steam punk thing, just so I'm straight, involves taking the imagery and technology of the Victorian era and given it a futuristic, alternative twist? I'm thinking Verne and dare I say it, the stuff in the movie Wild Wild West? Please let me know, it sounds very interesting. Thanks :)

I'm not sure where the term comes from, maybe pascal can enlighten us about that.
Basically, RW is a good building block for all sorts of different developments (eventually), so if you want to pitch in, please do.

A cyberpunk RW would be cool. Would be like Shadowrun(rpg) or nueromancer(book).-Tim aka Spock
