T2dShape3d mounting, is it always in a static position?

I was playing around with t2dShape3d objects, and I thought about mounting other 3D objects to the 3D shape. I know TGE had the ability to mount other 3D objects to mount points added during the creation of the model, thus moving the mounted object with the 3D shape as it plays animations (such as the crossbow staying in Korks hand, and not just floating in the air at his chest). I was wondering if TGB had the same type of mounting capabilites. I've been searching the forums, resources, and even looked through the source a little, and I have not been able to find any way to get other 3D objects to mount to my t2dShape3d object.

If anyone has already tackled this problem, or has any ideas that may be able to point me in the right direction, I would love to hear from you.
