T2 terrain painter

I love the new feature, I am wondering if the terrain files produced are compatible with the current version of Tribes2 though. The terrain does not appear when I run the map on the current version of T2. Runs just fine, and looks great on the beta version though. I also noticed that fps are much better for me with the beta. I would have to say great job so far. If anyone can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated.
