Can't 'save as' with new directory (plus search?)

(1) I'm brand new to Torque and working through the docs. I have a GameOne subdirectory, but when I try to save the mission as xxx in that subdirectory, I can't see it in the save window - only Common, Creator and Tutorial.base appear and I can't navigate through anything else. What is happening here?

(2) Also a general question about the forums - how does one search for topics within forum subjects or articles? The only search I see is the general search field for the entire website.
