Licence issue

I have the binary version of TGB. I understand that I can not see or use the source code, without upgrading to the source version. However for example say I have a freind with the source version, and they altered the source code, would I be able to use the altered binary? or is my licence only for the un altered version.

You are able to use the binary. That way a team can have a couple of solid scripters and a couple of solid programmers providing the necessary tools to the team.

Yep, using a compiled binary that's been modified by someone with a Pro license is totally legit.
