When I launch the TGBX editor the screen changes to black like its going to full screen but then halts with this error in the console:
Fatal-ISV: (\Source\TorqueXEditor\engine\source\dgl\gTexManager.cc @ 484) Error resurrecting the texture cache.
Possible cause: a bitmap was deleted during the course of gameplay.
Any ideas?

However when I launch the editor it is locked to full screen and I can't disable it.
Also when I open a the Tankbuster Torque X project file and alt+tab to get out of the editor, come back into it, it crashes with the same error in the console log:
Fatal-ISV: (\Source\TorqueXEditor\engine\source\dgl\gTexManager.cc @ 484) Error resurrecting the texture cache.

Also just a note that when you launch the editor, the open/import project dialog does not allow you to quit so you basically 'have' to either open or import a project. I think it might be good to have a quit button there so people dont get stuck on that screen if they dont have anything to import!

The first thing I would try is deleting your prefs files. In TGBX, these are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\[your windows user name]\Application Data\GarageGames. You can just delete the entire TorqueGameBuilderX folder. By default, Application Data is hidden, so you might have to show hidden folders in windws explorer or type the path into the address bar.
This will clear the prefs, which may have somehow gotten messed up. If that doesn't work, could you post the contents of your console.log file found in [TorqueX install dir]/TGBX/console.log.
