Hey whats up i havn't been on this forum for a long time but I have a question. I decided not to use Milkshape and I started to learn Anim8or yesterday. How can I import my own models from Anim8or to The Torque Game Engine?

Thanks Okashira. But to me Blender looks hard to learn.

In my opinion most people who don't like Blender just won't take the time to figure it out.
Also, something most people don't know, Blender's GUI is VERY customizable. With not much effort, you could setup the screen to look close to a MS3D style interface(though buttons will be different of course).

It is at first. I reccomend the GUI tutorial on Blender's main site, it helps ALOT. Once you get used to Blender, it can be very useful. In my opinion most people who don't like Blender just won't take the time to figure it out.

Blender can do all that and much much more. Just spend some time to fully appreciate it. Once you get into it, Blender rocks. I love it.

Can blender import straight into The Torque showtime Tool?

Make sure you start with the included example.blend file, otherwise you'll be lost in how to create LOD, etc.
Make sure your objects are parented to the highest LOD (128) and make lower-poly versions as children to the other LOD's.... if you're not ready to make lower LOD versions, just copy and paste the highest detailed version into the others for now.
Look at the Blender specific tutorials on TDN once you're familiar with Blender.
Edit: Typos

Using the Blender DTS exporter found here you can export a Blender model into Torque (including the ShowTool).Make sure you start with the included example.blend file, otherwise you'll be lost in how to create LOD, etc.

If you still don't like Blender, muster up $25.00 and get Milkshape 3D. It is MUCH easier to export into torque and everything in my opinion. But not to downplay Blender, since it has a TON of great features, especially for high-poly modelling.

Alrighty. If you find Blender's exporter to hard or annoying(which, like everything else in Blender, isn't once you get used to it), you can always export out of Blender, import in to MS3D, then export as .dif. Then again, that is a ton of work.

Wow I'm already confused?
Torque Owner Okashira
Please note that you will have to rig and animate it in another 3d modelling package like Blender or Milkshape 3D, since Anim8or does not have vertex-based animation.
