I Have An Idea Can Anyone Point Me In The Right Direction

Hi my name is alex and im working on a firefighter training simulator for the fire department. I have at least the first 2 levels written down. i just need a small team of people to help me make this into a reality. The simulator will be set in a rts format and have real firefighter tactics and command structure. I am a firefighter so this how I know of the tactics and command structure. In this simulator i want the fire and other disasters to be true to life. EX: (fire burns up and out and when it gets to the attic or void spaces it can run through the whole stucture in seconds.) I think that the firedepartment needs a tool like this for training and as a tool for the future up and comming officers. I also have a territory simulator for the drivers of the department also in the works. again i will need a small team of people who are willing to join me in making this sim.

Either you will script particle emitters or - if you want then to be less predictable- create mesh of them (say- one every 0.5 m from another) and use AI to trigger particle flow. Not an easy task, that's for sure.

What you propose is not that easy. Uh getting the team for that scale of a project would be a commercial venture. I.E. you would have to be able to sell it to other departments. Unless you have a huge budget.

The concept is good but your talking about a lot of work if you want that in TGE. Have you contacted some major departments like NYFD to see if there is already existing products?

I have done the research what i propose will be unique to a certain degree but of all the sim's i've looked up mine should be head and shoulders over the rest. i think i may have to get a preposal together and sell it to some companies

You may just want to have a look at www.virtools.com/applications/simulation-irit.asp. It's already been done.
