Showtool Pro Tge 1.5 Indie
by Mikael Larsson · in Torque Game Engine · 11/19/2006 (11:45 pm) · 18 replies
According to Davey Jacksson the Showtool Pro is included in the INDIE download, but I can't find it. Where is it hiding?
I'm probably missing the obvious but I'm a beginner with TGE.

The demo is included, the tool itself costs a little $$$, available in the GG Dev Store and I must say, its well worth the money!

The ShowToolPro is part of the Torque Game Engine 1.5 (no demo) - INDIE License, you don't need to buy it twice. :-)
@Mikael Larsson
The ShowToolPro is located at:
SDK 1.5\example\TorqueShowToolPro.exe
You need the "ignition-Key" from your "myAccount". (If it is not there, wait 2 days then ask the support ;-) )
Content has changed.

Ok, that might explain the lack of ShowTool Pro. But I think I'll send Davey an e-mail, since when I bought the licenses it was stated that ShowTool Pro was included.
I just had to check that I didn't miss anything obvious. (=

Also, could someone please explain the 72mb vs 128mb thing?

It would seem incredible to have the academic license crippled, without informing us beforehand... We don't have any example\TorqueShowToolPro.exe available. Also, could someone please explain the 72mb vs 128mb thing?

Was ShowToolPro.exe removed in this 50mb "optimization" ?
Is the detail1.png for starter.racing intentionally left as 0kb file (thus not working in game)?
What's the \example\show\ directory for?
Man, getting started with Torque EATS time.

Showtool was a separate download for me. But I just did the upgrade. It comes with 1.5. I remember there was some issues with those who just bought the 1.5 engine itself and didn't upgrade. I'd contact one of the guys at GG and have them check into it. It still comes with 1.5. Trust me thats how I'm running it :)

Davor, don't hit refresh after you post. It causes you to repost.

I have it available as a separate download with an ignition key in my downloads. I did an upgrade. The content cleanup (which removed redundant content) dropped the file size significantly. It should either be available as a download or in the main \examples folder.

David: OK. As Mikael wrote earlier, we only got the TGE 1.5.0 download available, no ignition key. I am sure GG are going to sort it out eventually. :)
Ohh, WE = 13 students at Malardalen University / Sweden.

Is the TST Pro part of the Torque Game Engine 1.5 - INDIE License, or not?
11/24/2006 (10:44 am)
From the TGE Home Page:Quote:ShowTool Pro - TST Pro is a 3D visualization tool for the Torque Game Engine. It helps artists and programmers inspect their game art for aesthetic and technical accuracy by simulating the in-game environment, and providing easy access to behind-the-scenes structures. And now David Wyand's essential ShowTool Pro will now be included with TGE version 1.5.From the TGE Product Page:
