TGE Programmer with Mozilla Experience?

by Justin Head · in Jobs · 11/11/2006 (2:33 pm) · 3 replies

Hello,

(I've posted in a few places, so if you've already seen some of this, I apologize. I don't want to look like a spammer, but this position is proving very difficult to fill and I'm a bit frustrated.)

We (Graham Software: www.grahamsoftware.com) are embedding Mozilla into Torque to develop a new 3D internet browser. We are fully funded and this is a paid position.

We are looking for a skilled programmer who has experience with the Mozilla code base. Our "wish" is to find someone that has some experience specifically with Gecko, the rendering engine within Mozilla Firefox.

We are based in NYC but to accommodate developers, we are flexible to allow them to work from anywhere, on a full-time or part-time basis. The details of the position and our company are below. We have made tremendous progress to date and are excited to bring on another key team member.

Even if this position is not right for you, if you had any ideas for me, that would be appreciated. We have contacted several folks in the Mozilla community in addition to some of the people involved with ubrowser.com, but have yet to find the ideal fit.

Thanks - and please do not hold it against me if you've seen this elsewhere. If you've ever tried to embed Gecko into Torque, you'll know it's a huge project and we can use all the help we can find.

I think this looks like an awesome idea!
I wish I could take the job, but I'm more of a scripter.

@Thomas - Naw... we're doing the opposite. Embedding Mozilla within Torque.
