Different TGE 1.5's

I noticed that as a new buyer of TGE you get a 121mb download for TGE 1.5 but having just recently purchased 1.4 I got the upgrade which is only 72Mb what is the difference here, I mean 50 Megs is alot of stuff to be different.

So what, we don't get the content too?

EDIT:
Clarification that I meant previous users who did not update to 1.5 and are still on a previous version.

One of the things about the 1.5 update is that you get content. Previous users (1.4.2) do not get the content. It is part of the value of 1.5.EDIT:

I don't see that info on any of the product pages?
I'm guessing its just a mess up in the installer for the upgrade.

So the upgrade doesn't get us everything that a new user would get?I don't see that info on any of the product pages?

Yeah that would seem very unfair. According to the cost for the upgrade all of the stuff the new guys are supposed to get, so are we. As a matter of fact it stated the same file size for all.

GG cut a lot of the download size by removing redundant files. Your 1.5 is the same as everyone else's.

I think you have to just look for it. Post again here if you need help finding things. The elf, the content packs, it's all in there in the SDK folder.

I upgraded from 1.3 and in my download, all the content is there.I think you have to just look for it. Post again here if you need help finding things. The elf, the content packs, it's all in there in the SDK folder.

Why cut out redundant files from one and not the other? I'm not mad or anything just curious as to why there are two different installers

Most likely it is because they were culling redundant content to minimize the size of the installer and while doing so they wanted to keep the existing one up so that it did not impact customers. If there are two installers still, then it may be because they are still in the process of checking and culling.

There was a larger installer that was up for the first 24 hours or so (which contributed to the download server going down). We reduced the size by getting rid of a bunch of old, unused art assets and everyone who has downloaded since the second day should be getting the smaller file.

It is one kind of 'unfair'.

Old TLK users can get a discount when they upgrade to v1.5, but old STP users can not get a discount. It is one kind of 'unfair'.

I was the old STP and TLK user, and I've upgraded to TGE 1.5 for $25. Now I have two STP licenses. :D
By the way, I have asked about this at their plan where they announced prices, but got no answer.

One software company should adjust their price system fairly. It's one mistake of GG.
