Some Questions

Am I allowed to post screenshots in these private forums. That is upload them to my ftp and show them in here?
Also will the torqueX beta users who have TGB be able to get the earliest copy of the next version where it supports exporting to .txscene files? This would be very helpful!

Great work so far guys, the product is exciting, and the level of feed back is incredible. I really appreciate the time you take answering and addressing all our questions/concerns.

I have a TGB full source license and would be very interested in using the TGBX editor, if that means i get to fill out some crash reports then I'm in still :) Great work so far guys, the product is exciting, and the level of feed back is incredible. Sweet. Please talk some more about it :) I would love to be in the beta of the TGBX editor too. So the txscene is like the t2d file as in it has everything in the scene. Or is a .txscene just like a tilemap layer file. Will an exported tilemap be a different file format?

I really think that there is extremely limited testing we can do with TorqueX without the TGBX Editor. Most of what makes a game is going to be in the .txscene level file. If we can start building more complex levels, then we can find more methods and properties that should be added to the core engine. Trying to build a level in straight XML is very time consuming and limiting - and there's only so much we can do to modify the TankBuster sample project.

I'd love to see a txscene editor or some sort of info/documentation on the format.

I do agree that we are pretty limited right now without a txscene editor, but I'm glad this was released as is now versus more feature complete later. I would hope we'd eventually have ways to edit txscene's outside of the other GG engines. If not, people will be forced to purchase an engine just to use the editor.

We may do a beta of the TGBX editor...still talking about it.
