First TGB game - billiards

I was always waiting for the billiards demo, but after the release of Rack'em Up Road Trip I figured I should try my hand at developing one. Day one down, and I have some graphics, balls I can thrown around on the table, and a pool cue. Next up, I need to create the pockets (balls just bounce around in a box right now), the pool cue movement and shooting logic, and some scoring mechanism.
My goal is to build a script-only game and see how far I can go. It's evident the rolling balls are the biggest issue and eventually I'm going to try some DTS objects and see if I can some spinning going. Also, sinking the balls in the pocket may be a challenge. It would be cool to get some angle guides in there as well...I'm shooting for something like this: www.miniclip.com/games/deluxe-pool/en/ and will probably post the final game in TDN as a tutorial.

Awesome stuff!! Keep posting in this thread (or blogs) with your progress. Very nice of you to offer as a tutorial on TDN when done.

You can go pretty far with script. I've actually done probably TOO much in script for my present project. But it's all running nicely still. Good work. :)

I was wondering if you got any further on your pool game project, more specifically I was wondering if you addressed the angle guide and if so I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction on how you accomplished that.
thank you
