Your subject is important!

This is a complaint more than anything. I've been spending the last few days searching the forums for any answers and insights to various things Im doing. Since the search function only checks the subject, this has been quite a task. Far too many posters are using subjects such as 'Help!', 'This is cool', etc. A good recent example has the subject of 'bigger, fatter, faster'. This post has some _great_ info in it, that will never show up when someone trys to search for particles or flares or lights.

Or failing that, GG could give a trusted someone limited authority to change titles to reflect the content, and let 'em loose for a week or so. Not as good as full search capabilities, but "quick & cheap".

the search function is quite "picky".
try different searches for this particular thread if you use
just "subject"
or
just "important"
you will get this thread and a couple of others
if you use "subject important" or "important subject" or any other combonations it will not find them unless this the is the exact order the words are in.
What if the body text search is that bad, then some sort of way that the poster could add meta-data "keywords" to the subject might help.

GG, anybody read this? (in fact, we are using this "workaround" for some of our clients wanting a "full text" database search but can't afford Oracle and have to stick with mySQL or something similar...)
And people should really start to use meaningful subjects for their threads, not just "what is this error" or "could someone help me please"... nobody will find these threads EVER searching for specific problems...

Yes, the "meta-data keywords" solution would be a good alternative to the body text search... just like the keywords for the resources... could help a bunch...GG, anybody read this?
