There is ShowToolPro.exe in the example folder, but you have to write protect the tstpro folder. Otherwise Showtool wil never start if you have called DeleteDSO.bat.

I can confirm that ShowToolPro doesn't seems to save preferences on my Mac too.

I believe this tool is supposed to be included in the price of TGE.
Garage Games did not respond.

How does one obtain the ShwoToolPro? I've recenly got an indie (in fact academic) license of the engine and the dowload does not seem to include the tool. The TGE version is 1.5.I believe this tool is supposed to be included in the price of TGE.
Garage Games did not respond.

I tried torqueDemo.exe -show ... -mod show ... -game show
I only get a black screen with some buttons.

When a user purchases Torque 1.5, the product Download and Ignition key for Torque Showtool Pro is added in addition to TGE 1.5, so two product records are added to the My Account page. You can check the "My account" page by going to :
http://www.garagegames.com/myaccount/
Torque ShowTool Pro is not included in the 1.5 SDK Installer!
The SDK Installer was already 71 Megabytes alone without it so we found it more efficient to offer a second download instead of duplicating the download. This way we didn't have to branch out the Ignition keys into a second branch and could work off the existing one for earlier customers, keeping confusion to a minimum (despite this thread).
So basically: Buy TGE 1.5 or the 1.5 Upgrade and 2 Products end up in your My Account page. The Ignition Key for TST is located next to the separate TST download record.
Hope that helps!

Hey everyone, sorry for the continued confusion. I thought this problem had been resolved earlier in a separate thread but apparently but is has not. :)When a user purchases Torque 1.5, the product Download and Ignition key for Torque Showtool Pro is added in addition to TGE 1.5, so two product records are added to the My Account page. All clear, except that we bought TGE 1.5 (x 13 licenses) and we only have one product in My Account page. So unless there is a difference between an indie license and a student license, we are missing one of the products.

On the Mac side (I don't know for the PC downloads) the most recent ShowTool Pro is bundled (and downloaded) with TGE 1.5. The link provided in "my account" : "Torque ShowTool Pro (TGE 1.5 Indie Bundle)" point to an old ShowTool Pro (it's not an Universal Binary).

I know its the holidays but this isn't good practice for a business.
The first post on this thread is dated Oct 27th 2006, how long does it take to change a link?
Please can this issue be resolved so we can use the most current software that we have all paid for.

1.0 is full of bugs.
1. All animations play, but they do not always work in Torque.
2. There are no reflective preview of whatever objects you would like to have reflective.
3. Mounting objects. What a pain. You have to open them all to be able to acces them in the "mount objects" panel.
I have found that TORQUE and exporters are unbelivebly hard to make work right. - There is a lot of confusing and old information floating around. - Absolutely no straight tutorials - telling people exactly how to set up and name all the objects/structure properly. How to link, which exporter to use etc.
So a person needs at least somewhere from 4-12 week only trying to eliminate errors.
Saw a post from a company which after 3 weeks of full reserch gave up figuring out exporting from max.

But I have found also another issue: STP doesn't save the preferences, so each time I open it up, I must rework all the UI, including the directory...
