a question about player.cs

I've deleted the contents of the datablock in player.cs (under fps/data/shapes/player) which i believed was used for animation. However, the deletion didn't not affect the animation of the game. I still press the same keys and the bot still moves the same way. Would someone please tell me why? Thanks!

basically i deleted all the contents in the datablock.. run the game.. and everything still works fine...it's counter intuitive to me because I've always thought that these are necessary to define player animation. Would you explain why eveything still works fine? Thanx for your help!

Removed the .cs.dso file? if the .cs files has errors in it, a lot of times the engine will just use the .cs.dso insted, so try removing your .dso file!
