General chaos type game- needs programmers

Ok heres the deal, i really want to make a game with gameplay similar to general chaos ( an old sega genesis game). the game is a cartoony style, top down ( well more 3/4 view i guess) military game. you assemble a team of troops with different abilities to fight oppossing forces. game play similar to smash tv, total carnage, fall out:brotherhood of steel.

anyways, im looking for a programmer - or anyone who would like to help really - but mainly a programmer. i would like to learn how to do programming myself, but learning it in the near future doesnt seem possible to me, considering i am an artist mainly...but im working on it.

you must understand this is not for money ( if it were to make money some how great, but wish in one hand...), but for fun, and this would be working in your spare time. i would like to make a game for me and my friends (and you and yours)to be able to play and have a good time.

i am looking to start small, one small arena, 2 - 4 player models and basic game play. moving jumping shooting, power ups. etc. and if all goes we'll move on from there hopefully.
