MiniGolf Level Design Stage

@Luke, I will path a dif from a different level. I'll just change the path to suit my windmill.

The static interiors will be awesome, Solo! Can you break it down to three parts and send all 4 difs to me?

difs are:
windmill (all of the structure with the wooden stuff)
the building itself
the big wooden thing
the smaller wooden thing

This is just one (1) .dif (interior) so far. I will send that. I was working on the greens tonight as well, but QuArK made my computer freeze up. I was able to save the .map, but couldn't convert it to .dif. To get the windmill working I will feature a resized moving platform from another level to 'path' around the static blades of the windmill. I will test speeds of the platform for something reasonable so there is 'possible' collision with the marble (golfball). My objective with this level is not necessarily challenge or anything to clever, but to achieve authenticity of style. Something true to age honored minigolf courses of the 50, 60, and seventies(putt-putt). Glad you like it so far.

omfg luke I said it for quite some time now:

CUSTOM INTERIORS CANNOT GET THEIR OWN MOVING PLATFORMS BECAUSE IT IS NOT WRITTEN IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE. ONLY INTERIORS ORIGINALLY PUT IN AND WRITTEN IN THE GAME ALLOW YOU TO BE MOVED. THAT MEANS THAT AN INTERIOR THAT WAS NOT WRITTEN (eg: training_time.dif) CANNOT BE DONE AS A MOVING PLATFORM. Darwin.dif IS A PROGRAMMED INTERIOR THEREFORE WILL MOVE!



What that Solo is doing is this:
"I will feature a resized moving platform from another level to 'path' around the static blades of the windmill"
That means he cannot use his own custom interior as a moving platform, but he can use a programmed GAME inteiror (eg: survival/darwin/pathways) as a moving platform.

more...I have a couple of other ideas.

1.) I will include a custom interior of a dinosaur called dino.dif(50's era of mini golf)
2.) I will have a wavy interior to simulate real mini golf courses (putt-putt era of mini golf)-required a prism in QuArK.

Optional: A psychodelic interior for the 60 era of mini golf. (Still on the drawing board). Wow, man!

Look for the mini Golf addition soon at a 'store near you.'

BTW. I have a stumper for visitors here a the forum. How can you add just a smiley face :) when you have a 5 charactor limit. I did it, but I want to know if you can fiigure it out? Good luck. Winner gets a professionally designed QuArK interior by solo.
