Map2diff_plus..surface maximum??

It seems there is a brush or surface max that it will export. Is this true?

161 brushes
1488 surfaces Ok.

164 brushes
1547 surfaces.... crash map2diff_plus

How can you model a complex model with this limitation? I'm working on 1 part (of 4) and am only 1/2 way thru the building. I've tried adding some of the parts from within tge, but that's a pita.

Are you using the detail entity? Used properly, this can lower your surface count.

I'm using DeleD to make my map, and then dropping my map onto map2dif_plus.
I'll look up detail entity and see how I can use it.
