Wow, you guys have been *BUSY!!*...just dropping you guys a note to say that I'm still here; I haven't forgotten about this community. I love the new level archive pages and the levels themselves; they sure will give me something to do for quite a while! I really like that gothic castle level with all the custom textures; that must've taken forever...nice work indeed! Looks like I'm gonna hafta kick it up another notch...look for new stuff from me soon!

@phil: There's a tutorial somewhere on the forum (I tried looking for it, but can't find it) on how to build a moving platform. I started the thread almost 3 years ago, and it's called something like "Advanced level-building questions". I followed the guide in the reply posted by Alex Swanson, and it took lots of tweaking to make it finally work.

@Matan...Nice work...I designed that level hoping to drive home the concept of "no shortcuts"...but you really knocked this one out...very good. I find your accuracy in jumping most impressive; those squares are only 32 quark units wide at the top, and you made short work of that...your skill amazes me; if I was as good as you are on some of these levels, I'd be the king of MB. My best time on this level is around 3 1/2 minutes.

@Phil83,

I never specifically used this command to make elevators, but apparently it means to use the console(prompt) in Windows. Of course, this means that you have to start you game there also, so you have to have MBG for Windows.

I don't, so I never tried it. Someone said this option(to enter -test mapname ) is available from the context menu when you right click the application icon(i.e., properties), but again I never tried.

'shell' is a reference to underpinnings of Windows I think.

Also, this may be link to QuArK in some way. See if you can find any documentation on this. It's funny why no one's been able to make these moving platforms in their levels. It shouldn't be such a big mystery (secret).
