How can I Create 3D Images

Hey i want to know how to make 3d characters and images. Do i have to download a program???

    You need a 3d program such as 3d Studio MAX. MAX does cost a bit though. GMAX is a version of MAX created for games (theres no rendering support) but it works well enough for models (and its free), MilkShape is another alternative (also no rendering support but costs money). Theres TONS of tutorials on the net on how to use these programs.

    There are plenty of cheap modelling programs like blender and milkshape. If you want to learn a professional modeller you could get the learning edition of Maya as a free download. It only works on win 2000 and XP though.
