Unicode Support

Does TGB support Unicode? I know it supports ANSI and TGE 1.4 supports UTF8. If I write a script file in Unicode and add non-Latin characters will they be interpreted correctly.
I'm thinking down the line when I want to support Eastern Europe and Asia onscreen. I understand the script itself needs to use the Latin alphabet but when I write to the GUI I'd like to be able to support CJK.
Any help would be appreciated.
