Turbo c++ explorer now another free compiler

Looks like another new beefy free compiler is out there now in addition to Microsoft Visual C++ Express 2005. This was just released Sept 5 2006 it looks like.

I might give it a shot tonight, anyone else used this yet?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt that a IDE/Dev Solution rather than a compiler? (Not trying to be picky btw, but havent got enough time to read trough the link and saw that you mentioned MS VC++ Express, which is not a compiler)

I'll check it out when I get home. Thanks.

Yes it is an IDE/Dev Solution but it is hooked to Borlands C++ compiler. So yes it is a nice alternative to Microsoft Visual C++ Express 2005. From what I have been told Turbo C++ Explorer is powerful with little to no limitations.

I gave this a shot over the weekend. I am sure Turbo C++ is pretty well defined and beefy, but I did not like the interface. I found Visual C++ 2005 express and even Dev C++ easier to grasp the interface faster than Turbo C++
