Looking for good TORQUE.DEF for 3D World Studio

by Ivanhild Design · in Artist Corner · 09/12/2006 (1:33 pm) · 5 replies

Hi everyone,

Where can I find, or does anyone have a good complete TORQUE.DEF file to use in 3D World Studio which includes PORTAL, DETAIL and other minor things?

The TORQUE.DEF file that is included with 3D WOrld Studio only includes the light entities...but no classes for portals or details etc...

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you check the Leadwerks forums? It seems like there was someone working on one. Make sure to look on the old forum archives rather than the new ones, though.

I had a complete one for a while unfortunately my machine got hosed and it was lost. All of the info for it I gathered from the leadwerks forum. I will try and sit down and rework a new one sometime this week as I need to get building as well.

Thanks guys. I appreciated your fast replies!

And yes, that def file on that forum definitely helped... but there still is something kind of odd... When I create the Portal in 3DWorldStudio, the portal class is missing the ambient_light Key and value.

I can manually type them up and add them, but isn't the code in the torque.def file supposed to put the ambient_light and its value automatically for me in the class keyvalues textbox when I turn the solid into a portal class?

Or am I missing something? Unless it's a known bug/issue/limitation that I just don't know about yet. :)

Thanks!

Oh... yeah.. and what about Trigger entities? I saw there is a "trigger" texture, so I am thinking trigger entities must be setup similarly to portals and detailbrush entities right in 3D World Studio... am I correct?

Thanks,
