Here is a screenshot of the game I'm working on. Just an Old schooler black belt type game, still much work to do, I am interested in opinions.

That's some pretty impressive drawing in my opinion. Though I'm interested in why the portrait is different from the character? The thing that botheres me is that it's the complete opposite hair color, lol. It's still looking great though, keep it up.

Look outstanding, I like it. How you do the health bar?

The portrait and the character are not the same character. The health bar is not functional at present but that's the look I'm going for. I just have solid smooth character controls done. Also I plan to have 30 levels that are each 'distinctive' I will recycle no elements from any other level. So...I have a lot of drawing / painting to do. I'm designing for 1024 x 768. Running real smooth now, sometimes I get frustrated and want to quit. However I have a lot done thus far and some really cool ideas that I think will make this game standout. Thanks for the kind words guys. I posted the image to help me stay motivated.

Looks really cool. Be sure not to run into the complexity barrier. Would be a shame if this game would not get finished and I'd rather play it 5 non-distinctive levels than not play it at all ;)

^Ya, I've had that "complexity barrier" kill projects of mine before. It's hard to bite off exactly what you can chew. Just last night I was talking to a friend about my present project, and it only took a couple of minutes before I felt like I had to interject, "Well, that'd be cool, but my first goal is doing something simple and just getting it done."
