Targeting system

Hi,

i was wondering if anyone here got a targeting system to work that is similar to mechWarrior LSM missles, or even the DarkLore horizon yellow homming missles. where the targets are ther, but it takes a while to lock on etc. and is willing to share it,

i attemtped to make it work with a gui identifier called project the coordinates of the target on screen and then depending if it is in a box or not, however i did not get it to work as of yet, and i was wondering if anyone already successful made something liek that and is willing to share.

There used to be a tutorial on the internet, but the site isn't even up any more. It would be really cool if someone could find it again. I think Luigi Rosso posted it or something.
